Moral charges cast a shadow over Egypt’s preparations
One of Egypt’s players faces serious allegations at a sensitive time, just days before the Pharaohs’ 2026 World Cup in Group G, which also includes Belgium, New Zealand and Iran.
An Italian girl announced today, Friday, that she has taken legal action against Egyptian footballer and star Saudi midfielder Nabil Emad, nicknamed “Dunga”, alleging he sexually assaulted her.
The girl reported through her Instagram account that the incident began in July 2025, when she received a dinner invitation from the player through her personal account. She initially apologized for not accepting, but eventually agreed and went out with Dunga “after his strong insistence”.

He added that the former Zamalek player then suggested going to a party at his house with a group of friends instead of going out in public.
He continued. “He offered me a drink which made me completely unconscious and when I woke up I was surprised to find him trying to attack me against my will. Despite my strong and repeated refusals, I could not resist him due to the effects of the drink, which made me lose my strength, and when he finished, he moved me to another room.”
She confirmed that the incident affected her psyche and caused her “severe panic, permanent trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder”.
Regarding her steps to sue the player, the girl announced that she had already taken all the necessary legal measures last July, describing Nabil Emad’s presence in the ranks of the Pharaohs as “a disgrace to the Egyptian national team” and appealing to the public to support her.
