On March 31, 2026, an odd complaint was received by the Bucks County, Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Office.
It came from the local sheriff’s office, and it involved one of their own, Deputy Sheriff Ryan Gaffney. The allegations were unusual: Gaffney used his iPhone to take pictures of naked inmates he encountered in his line of work — and shared the pictures with “several female regular employees within the Sheriff’s Office.”
The main story was about a local man suffering from mental illness on the morning of January 30, 2026. Five officers in uniform had arrived at the house and were upstairs. Their prisoner was naked from the waist down and had only been coerced into wearing trousers.
