The famous player’s agent Jorge Mendes is playing a key role in formulating Barcelona’s sports plan for the 2026-2027 season, according to a press release on Monday.
The Portuguese’s agent, who represents a number of players linked to the club, has a good relationship with president Joan Laporta and was previously the agent of current sporting director Deco.
As the “Mundo Deportivo” newspaper informs, Mendes is involved in transactions that may affect the club’s sports programs and financial condition.
Among the names he introduced and are currently being discussed are Casado, Cancelo, Ansu Fati, Balde, Bernardo Silva and Darwin Nunez.
The first important step is the departure of Ansu Fati to Monaco, where the value of the transaction is 11 million euros, which is the amount provided as a purchase option in the loan agreement of the previous season.

Furthermore, Mendes continues to keep the option of Bernardo Silva on the table, and the former Manchester City man has confirmed that he has received offers, hinting that one of them is from Barcelona.
