Craig Bellamy: Burnley want Wales head coach as new boss

“Everything is fine, I have full support and it will give me the opportunity to improve again in the next two years,” Bellamy said before his side’s 1-1 draw with Ghana in Cardiff on June 2.

“Link? I understand that but I don’t look too far. I love what’s here.

“I’ve been offered that elsewhere, but I already have it.

“Wales gave me this opportunity and maybe not one or two because I was aware I hadn’t managed before. Wales gave me this opportunity and I’m really grateful for that.

“I’m ambitious, believe me. I want to make lots and lots of money but there’s a time and now, in this present moment, it doesn’t feel like that time.”

Ahead of June’s international camp, FAW bosses told BBC Sport Wales they were “very confident” Bellamy would see out his contract – which runs until the end of Euro 2028.
