Langton’s scan showed swelling and bruising, meaning he was released from hospital on Saturday night.
“She’s a little sore and a little stiff, but that’s to be expected,” he said.
“I can’t complain too much.”
Before falling, Langton was trying to move into a handstand position on the high bar, but lost his grip and fell head first to the mat.
Langton was long overdue for the race before being taken away on a trolley and then a stretcher.
“I went up once and both of my hands left the bar which wasn’t very good,” he said.
“From that moment I knew, ‘Oh, this is not going to work.'”
Team England finished behind Canada in the silver medal.
The teenager didn’t get his medal until he got back to the team hotel on Saturday evening, where the rest of the team gathered to applaud him.
“That was unbelievable,” he said.
“Seeing all my teammates, coaches and getting my medal. I saw my personal trainer from Birmingham. It was great.”
With no more competition of his own, Langton returned to the podium on Sunday to support his teammates in the men’s all-round final.
“I’m going to take it easy for a couple of days and do the recovery,” he said, before returning to training in the near future.
“I’m confident in my gymnastics skills,” he said.
“It was really just a freak accident.”
