A new way for the star of the pharaohs
The English press reports that Manchester City’s plans have recently changed regarding the future of Egyptian star Omar Marmoush, who at the end of last season was rumored to be on the summer transfer list, even on loan.
After several clubs were previously rumored to be interested in Marmarsh, including… Juventus “Tottenham” and “Aston Villa” as well BarcelonaThe Manchester Evening News have confirmed that Manchester City are not actively looking for a replacement for the Egyptian forward, indicating that the club still consider him an important part of their immediate transfer plans.
Marmus has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs just 18 months after completing his £59million move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Now the 27-year-old football player represents Egypt at the 2026 World Cup.

He noted: “Despite speculation about transfers, it is understood that City’s priority is to strengthen other positions in the team of new coach Enzo Maresca, and not to acquire a new striker.
Marmus played a key role in the second half of the 2024-25 season after arriving in January, helping City secure Champions League qualification.
Although he has struggled to get regular playing opportunities during his first full season at the Etihad Stadium (2025-26), the Egyptian has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.
City completed a record summer deal worth £116m to sign Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
