Car bombing kills 27 in northwest Pakistan | Pakistan Taliban News

The Pakistani Taliban said four terrorists had detonated explosives in the northwest of the country.

27 people killed 27 people including soldiers, police and terrorists that happened at the security post in the northwest of Pakistan.

The overnight attack was near the Afghan border in the north-west which has been a hot spot for militant groups.

The military said 12 soldiers, two policemen and a forester were killed, as well as 12 terrorists.

They tried to force their way into Tank district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, then drove a car full of explosives against the wall.

The Pakistan Taliban (TTP), which has been fighting Pakistan since 2007, said four suicide bombers were involved in the attack.

A search operation is underway in the surrounding area to find anyone involved.

The bombing is the latest in a string of security attacks by officials and civilians in northwest Pakistan.

Violence has increased since the Taliban returned to Afghanistan, where many of the armed groups are based.

Threats have intensified in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, with violence and bombings of police in neighboring Bannu district reported last week.

The Center for Research and Security Studies reported that the death toll rose from 1,620 in 2024 to 2,331 last year, while the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies said attacks across the country rose by 34 percent over the same period.

The Pakistani government has criticized Afghanistan for harboring armed people. The Taliban government in Afghanistan denies any involvement and insists that the insurgency is an internal matter for Pakistan.

The conflict has grown military actionwhile Pakistan is carrying out repeated attacks on the soil of Afghanistan which it says it wants the troops, and Afghanistan is firing back.

The United Nations has listed hundreds of people who have died in Afghanistan as a result of the protests this year, deepening tensions between the two neighbours.
