Can the ICJ help end the war in eastern DRC? | | Mass murder

The Democratic Republic of Congo has taken Rwanda to the International Court of Justice.

For years, the DRC has criticized Rwanda for its involvement in the war in its eastern regions.

The Democratic Republic of Congo says its neighbors have mobilized and supported armed groups to carry out illegal activities in its territory.

This week, Kinshasa has been seeking to answer Kigali’s case, suing the International Court of Justice. The DRC wants to force Rwanda to stop the activities and pay compensation to the victims and the government. Tensions between the two remain high – and other countries outside the region are trying to help resolve the conflict.

Could the involvement of the ICJ make a difference in this process?
