Cammy Devlin: Rangers have signed the midfielder after leaving Hearts

Cammy Devlin has joined Rangers on a free contract after leaving Hearts.

The 28-year-old Australian midfielder spent five years at Tynecastle, making 171 appearances and scoring eight times.

He has been capped five times by his country and was part of their World Cup squad this summer.

Devlin is the third notable arrival at Ibrox from Hearts this summer.

Striker Laurence Shankland joined Rangers before representing Scotland at the World Cup and Derek McInnes was appointed manager at Glasgow after Danny Rohl left for RB Salzburg.

“It’s just an absolute honor and privilege,” Devlin said after penning a two-year deal with an additional 12-month option.

“With the gaffer coming in and a lot of changes happening at the club, it seems like a great time to come here.

“I am very aware, having been in Scotland for some time now, of the size of the club and what comes with playing at such a big football club.

“It feels pretty special to call myself a Rangers player and I can’t wait to get started.”
