Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is out in October, and it’s coming to Switch 2

Also known: Modern Wars 4 not available on PS4 or Xbox One. Those last platforms will get it Call of Duty released since 2013 Call of Duty: Spiritsbut Activision is moving forward.

Here’s the schedule for the game, according to Activision:

War erupts on the Korean Peninsula as North Korea launches a massive attack that threatens to destabilize the world in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. A young group of South Korean soldiers fight to survive on the front line of the collapse, while half a world away the vengeful Captain Price wages a personal war from the shadows while still living in front of him. As Price’s off-book mission collides with the forces behind the attack, the war spreads without anyone’s control.

Activision says Modern Wars 4 is “naturally designed for consoles and modern PCs,” which enables “scalability, density, responsiveness, and consistency for any system.” For PC players, Activision promises that the game will be built “with a new look,” including things like “optimized PC performance,” “multiple options” for scaling and framing, and “graphic enhancements.”

Call of Duty: Warzone is also available on PS4 and Xbox One. Starting June 4, new game downloads on PS4 and Xbox One will no longer be allowed, and on June 25, the game store will be removed from those platforms. War zone on PS4 and Xbox One will stop playing from Season 1 of Modern Wars 4 and War zonewhich begins “as soon as” the launch of October 23rd.
