Brighton Music Venue was bought by Fatboy Slim Investments

MVP says he earned the nickname “Music’s National Trust for Venues” because of the purchasing model he developed to secure their future.

In the year Thomas Evrenos, who has run Brighton-based Pipeline since 2017, said: “It means a lot to the future of the venue because it’s really important that we get a landlord that understands what we’re doing and that our aim is to create a great venue for musicians.

“I’m very happy. If it wasn’t like this and someone tried to raise the rent, I’d probably give up.”

The MVP’s Peter Cornforth added: “Brighton is a really vibrant place but we need live venues for people to come and learn their craft.

“We are committed to preserving the key role that grassroots spaces play for artists and their communities.”
