Bose’s new Lifestyle Ultra speakers are now available

Sonos has a new partner in town. Bose’s new Lifestyle Collection includes a $299 Lifestyle Ultra speaker, a $1,099 Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, and an $899 Ultra Subwoofer, all available directly from Bose and third-party retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy.

Like the Sonos Era 100, the Lifestyle Ultra speaker supports both Apple AirPlay and Spotify Connect, although the addition of Google Cast offers another way to stream audio from compatible apps. It can also be paired with compatible non-Bose speakers via AirPlay and Google Cast if you want to play music in multiple rooms, and it’s the first third-party speaker support for the release of Amazon AI-powered Alexa Plus.

For home theater enthusiasts, Bose has also introduced the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, which supports Dolby Atmos and is now available from Amazon, Best Buyand Everyone. Conversation came through clearly on our display, and the speaker’s voice sounded louder, though the lows weren’t there. Bose’s new Ultra Subwoofer – also available in black and white from Amazon, Best Buyand Everyone – can help fill that gap, though. When paired with speakers, it filled in the missing bass and produced a clear sound.
