Blink breaks its budget down to 2K

The wired version is Blink’s first fully wired buzzer and the first to not require a Blink Sync Module (although it can work with one). Earlier Start the doorbells it relied on a small housing, and could be wired or run on AA lithium batteries – just like the new 2K battery does. Removing the batteries makes for a smaller display, but also means you don’t have a backup if the power goes out.

AI-powered video descriptions are cloud-based and require one New AI teams for Blink. There is a Basic AI subscription for $6.99 per month / $69.99 per year for one device (with a first-year contract of $49.99); if you have multiple Blink devices, there’s a Plus AI sub, which covers all your cameras for $19.99 per month / $199.99 per year (still $149.99 for the first year).

If you don’t want AI explanations, Blink still offers them appropriate procedures starting at $3.99 per month or $39.99 per year per camera, which includes 60 days of cloud storage for video and personal data on the device. Without a subscription, you only see visuals, two-way audio, and traffic notifications.

Home cameras also have the option of recording locally to an SD card using the app Sync Module XR or to a USB stick using Sync Module 2.
