Bernardo Silva. We are disappointed… and this matter is out of my hands

Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva has expressed his disappointment after the team lost the English Premier League title for the second season in a row.

Manchester City have been confirmed as losing the Premier League title after being held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth in the penultimate round of the competition on Tuesday night.

The difference with Arsenal became 4 points before the final round, which means that it is not possible to compensate.

“We are disappointed. We know this is the most important title of the season because it’s the longest and the hardest,” Silva told the BBC.

The player, who earlier announced his retirement at the end of the season, added: “It’s the title you work for all season. We fought until the end and gave it everything we had. I’m proud of the players, but it’s not enough at this level.”

The captain of “Manchester City” continued. “I hope they carry this feeling with them into the next season. It is not regret, but an inner feeling that motivates them to do more. They have quality and potential.”

Silva continued. “I hate the feeling of defeat. If you want to play for a club like Manchester City, you have to have this mentality. What we have given is not enough for this club, especially since the English Premier League is the main goal of the club.

Regarding the future of his coach, Pep Guardiola, he said: “Honestly, I don’t know anything about it. The decision is his, and he is the one who will announce whether he will stay or leave. This issue is not on me.”
