French midfielder Adrien Rabiot did not hesitate to criticize his teammates in the national team after the heavy defeat against England.
France lost 6-4 to England in the World Cup third-place match early Sunday morning.
The midfielder, who started against England, was definitely critical of the attitude of his teammates, especially in the first half, when France lost a huge score to Tuchel’s side 0-4. “We had an embarrassing start in the first half. I saw some behavior from some players that I’ve never seen before.”
“It’s disappointing because it was the last match that left a good impression in this tournament,” he continued, as reported by Marca newspaper.
He added: “There was a lot of disappointment after the defeat against Spain, but we had to finish the mission to the end and we couldn’t give up like this.”
Rabiot revealed what happened after the French side trailed by four goals at half-time as they tried to turn things around.
