Before the Three Lions tournament, the Norwegian football jersey was sold

Andresen said the association doesn’t make more money than the current jersey sales.

The BBC has contacted the NFF for comment.

This year’s order is a record high of nearly 250,000 kits. In contrast, around 50,000 units were sold during the same period last year.

The official national jersey – the red Norwegian flag with a blue cross – has been on sale for weeks at Nike and many other outlets.

A Nike spokesperson told the BBC they were aware of the “frustration” among fans and were working to improve access.

Further shipments of Norway’s home and stadium shirts are expected to arrive in Norway in the coming days, he added, followed by “wider access thereafter”.

But some fans have decided to take matters into their own hands and are paying a hefty price to get their hands on it.

The Nike Norway 2026 Stadium Home Jersey retailed for $89.99 ($100) before going on sale on Nike’s website.

It’s now on sale for up to £355 ($476) at select resale sites, while the black stadium away shirt – also originally priced at £89.99 ($100) – is available on resale sites for £231 ($310) before shipping and tax.

Norway beat Iraq, Senegal, Ivory Coast and most recently Brazil to reach the quarter-finals.

The quarter-final against England will take place on Saturday at 22:00 BST (17:00 EST) at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
