The former Pharaohs star’s brother reassures fans
Former Egyptian national team star Ahmed Hossam “Mido” had a health problem after his son’s complaint against him was rejected.
Mido was absent yesterday from presenting his program on the Egyptian satellite channel “Al-Nahar” because of this health problem.
Several Egyptian media reported that Mido suffered a stroke as a result of his son’s position.
However, Mido’s brother, Tamer Wasfi, explained that the former Zamalek striker did not suffer a stroke.

In statements to Egyptian journalist Ahmed Galal, he added that “Mido was suffering from high blood pressure and was suffering from a respiratory crisis.”
He continued. “Mido was placed under observation at the hospital and released this afternoon.”
Mido is currently not involved with any team training as he is devoting himself to presenting his TV show with journalist Ahmed Shubir.
His last coaching experience was in charge of Al-Ismail from December 2022 to February 2023. He has also previously managed several clubs, notably Zamalek, Wadi Degla and Saudi Al-Wahda.
