Beau Greaves has made further darts history by becoming the first woman to qualify for a PDC European Tour event.
In a qualifying double-header in Leicester, the 22-year-old defeated Tom Bissell 6-4 in the European Tour 11 qualifier to book a place in the Hungarian Darts Trophy tournament in August.
He defeated Lukas Wenig 6–5 in the European Tour 12 qualifier to book a place at the Czech Darts Open in September.
Posting on Instagram, Greaves said: “The heat is no joke but the qualifiers get the job done. Hungarian Darts Trophy and Czech Darts Open here we come!”
Greaves’ next tournament is later this month when she takes on Finland’s Kirsi Vinikainen in her opening match as she aims to become a three-time women’s world matchplay champion.
Greaves is the top seed, while fellow Englishwoman Lisa Ashton is defending her 2025 title.
It is the latest in a list of achievements for Doncaster’s Greaves which includes becoming his First woman to win a PDC ranking title When he defeated Michael Smith in April.
He is also First woman to finish nine-dart on PDC ProTour, He did so in a win over Mensur Suljovic in February.
Before Greaves, Ashton was first lady Claim a tour card 2020 when Fallon Sherk became the first woman at Q-School Matches at the PDC World Darts Championship In 2019.
Anastasia Dobromyslova was the first woman to defeat a male professional on TV at the Grand Slam of Darts in 2009.
