Men’s international games for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will continue to be broadcast on the BBC.
The broadcaster has extended its rights deal with UEFA, ensuring every country’s UEFA fixtures will be live and free-to-air until June 2028.
The BBC will show around 60 live matches over the next two years, including this autumn’s Nations League matches and three teams in Euro 2028 qualifiers.
Every match will be available on all platforms including BBC Television, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds.
The BBC is home to international football for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland from March 2025. For the first time full live rights are secured for all three UK countries.
Since then, it has registered record audiences during qualification for this summer’s World Cup, with Scotland’s decisive win over Denmark attracting 1.1 million viewers in Scotland and an average of 2.7 million viewers across the UK.
Wales’ play-off semi-final with Bosnia-Herzegovina attracted 1.71 million viewers across the UK (280,000 in Wales), while Northern Ireland’s qualifier against Germany attracted 1.11 million UK-wide (121,000 in Northern Ireland).
BBC coverage of the World Cup resulted in record numbers of BBC Sport app, live streams, podcasts and social media content.
“These fixtures bring the community together and provide some of the biggest shared moments in our sporting calendar,” said Ruaned Richards, interim director of BBC Nations.

Euro 2028 will take place across nine stadiums in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and will be shown live across BBC platforms.
