The Egyptian striker caught the eye with a hat-trick of headers against Barcelona
Egypt’s Hamza Abdel Karim’s remarkable brilliance with Paul Planas’ Barcelona Under-19s led the team to a nine-goal victory over Monte Carlo in the latest round of the Spanish Under-19 League. Hamza Abdel Karim scored three goals, all from headers.
Barcelona won the Spanish Under-19 league title and await the Champions Cup, which consists of home-and-away quarter-finals, then the semi-finals and the final, to end the Catalan club’s football season in this category.

Hamza Abdel Karim has joined Barcelona’s Under-19 team on loan from Egypt’s Al-Ahly, with the intention of buying at the end of the season for a fee of two million euros.
Hamza initially faced some bureaucratic issues, then he suffered an injury that kept him out of the squad before he topped the Monte Carlo encounter with the aforementioned hat-trick.
Hamza Abdel Karim now has 4 goals, all from headers, drawing comparisons between the promising Egyptian and Norwegian star Erling Haaland.
Pau Campana, spokesperson for Barcelona’s youth teams and La Masia academy, said the Catalan club has not yet announced a move to activate Hamza Abdel Karim’s buyout clause, despite frequent rumors about it.
Planas said in his statements to the Egyptian “Modern Sports” program. “We have not yet announced the activation of the buyout point and if it does, it will be through the official channels of the club.”
He added: “Hamza Abdel Karim will talk about the title in the coming days and now our focus is on celebrating the title and building for the future.”
