Barcelona are tracking a number of players, particularly in attacking positions, to bolster their ranks in next summer’s Mercato, but have also turned their attention to defensive stars from a number of Europe’s biggest teams.
As talk of Barcelona’s desire to sign Bastogne for the Inter star and the controversy surrounding the deal, Italian transfer journalist Gianluigi Longari has revealed yet another way in which traces of the Blaugrana’s interest in another of the Serie A’s standout defenders have emerged.
Longari wrote in his X platform account: “As expected some time ago, “Barcelona” showed great interest in “Juventus” star Andrea Cambiasso.
He explained that the left-back’s future does not appear to be tied to his contract with the Bianconeri, which runs until 2029, stating that “Juventus have received an offer from Chelsea to sign the player”.
“There are also limited talks with Inter Milan, given Juventus’ valuation of (Inter full-back) Carlos Augusto.”
Inter Milan’s interest in Cambiasso is not surprising given Denzel Dumfries’ imminent move to Real Madrid.

Both Alejandro Balde and Jules Conde face uncertain futures at Barcelona due to their decline in form, and their departures could open the door for Barcelona to reinvest in a top-class right-back.
Although Cambiasso is known for his technical quality, versatility and skill in all defensive positions, Juventus are not satisfied with his performance and are ready to listen to offers made for him this summer.
In the current season, the 26-year-old player participated in 42 matches in all competitions, becoming the author of 3 goals and 5 assists.
