The first full trailer of Avengers: Doomsday has been released online and shows Marvel’s big budget expectations.
“Something’s coming, we can’t stop it,” is the first line heard in the new show that’s bringing back several characters from different genres. Amazing movies and the universe.
Avengers featured in the trailer include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and Chris Evans as Captain America while Fantastic Four’s Pedro Pascal, X-Men’s Patrick Stewart, Black Panther’s Letitia Wright and Thunder’s Florence Pugh also appear.
There’s also a glimpse of Ian McKellen, returning as Magneto, himself in the near future spoke about the film at the Piazza festival in Rome. The actor told the audience that he “found me one time to destroy New Jersey”. He said that the two directors, the Russo brothers, “told me to look really angry: make it look like you hate what you’re destroying. “So I stood there and shouted: ‘Mar-a-Lago!’
The trailer teases an “impossible decision” and the arrival of Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom. The actor, who previously played Iron Man, is returning to play the iconic character in his current role he says earning the actor $100m for both Doomsday and its follow-up Secret Wars.
Returning director Joe Russo is he said They’ve “returned to ground zero” of the MCU with this new film. “This is starting from scratch,” he said. “We want to make sure that everyone feels like this is not dependent on anything in the past.”
The film comes at a critical time for Marvel, who were once box office giants but are struggling to return to their former glory. The past few years have seen the likes of Thunder, Fantastic Four: First Steps and Captain America: Brave New World achieving mediocre results.
But in 2019, Avengers: Endgame became one of the richest films of all time with a box office of about $2.8bn.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18, the same day as Dune: The Third Edition leading the box office to predict Barbenheimer’s show.
