Australia has made it 2026 World Cup knockout rounds after a 0-0 draw with Paraguay in Santa Clara to take second place in Group D.
The Socceroos, who defeated Turkey in their opening match before losing to the United States, were not threatened on Thursday, going for a point to reach the United States. 32 finalists at Levi’s Stadium in Northern California.

It is only the third time Australia have progressed beyond the group stage in seven World Cup games.
The draw also left Paraguay on the verge of finishing the tournament as one of the eight third-placed teams in the group.
The US already secured top spot in Group D, despite losing 3-2 to Turkey in Los Angeles on Thursday.
