Deportivo La Coruña officially announced the 37-year-old Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from French side Olympique Marseille on a final transfer deal worth around €1.5m on Friday evening.
The player signed a contract, extending it until the summer of 2028.
The Spanish club, through an official statement published on its website, confirmed the completion of the deal, which was expected a few days ago when the Gabonese striker returned to the Spanish Premier League (La Liga) at the end of the 2021-2022 season after a 6-month spell with Barcelona, during which he made 24 appearances and scored 13 goals.
Aubameyang, who has made 86 international appearances for Gabon, scoring 40 goals, will join his 12th professional club after a second spell at Olympique de Marseille, where he previously played for the French club in the 2022-2023 season.
The experienced Gabonese striker opted to move to Spain despite interest from Turkish club Korum, joining the club who were recently promoted to the Spanish Premier League after an eight-year absence, having been relegated to the second division just two years ago.
