Aston Villa have announced a loan deal for Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho

The 22-year-old’s transfer “will become permanent next summer if certain criteria are met”, the Blues said, with the Argentine having already agreed a four-year deal at Villa Park.

Villa’s player sales this summer, meanwhile, have totaled around £200m with Youri Tielemans, Daniel Mallen, Enzo Barrenchea and Lewis Dobbin all leaving.

The Blues were keen to offload Garnacho in a £40m deal last September. Manchester United10% of transfer fee shall be due in any event.

His impact at Stamford Bridge was limited to one Premier League goal and the arrival of Rodgers and Sporting winger Giovanni Cuenda increased the need to downsize the squad.
