Arthur Ferry admits he could be drowning in the media spotlight just like Emma Radukanu after her fairytale run at Wimbledon.
The 24-year-old, who received a wild card entry into the tournament, lost Jiju Bergs, Grigor Dimitrov And Flavio Coboli Before losing in the semi-finals French Open champion Alexander Zverev.
Ferri rises to world No. 36 after entering at No. 114 with just two Grand Slam wins to his name and admits his profile has skyrocketed, just as Radukanu did after his US Open win in 2021.

“Yeah, already during the tournament I was thinking a little bit about life afterwards and how I’m going to handle it because we’ve seen it with people who have broken down like that before,” Ferry said. Sky News’ Jackie Beltrao.
“Obviously with Emma, Emma won a Slam and I didn’t but there was still a lot of media attention.
“It’s going to be really important to manage — expectations from me and the public as well.”
Any run at a Slam brings new opportunities, and Ferry can now compete at the US Open, which is live Sky Sports From Flushing Meadows, starting August 30.
The new British No.1 is set for more time in the media spotlight as he competes against tennis’ top players.
“It means I can play the top players week in week out and compare myself to them and continue to work on my tennis,” Ferry said.
“I’m going to get used to the full life of the tour with more media attention and all that but I think I’m ready for it.
“It’s going to be the first one besides playing the US Open. I didn’t even play the qualifiers last year so it’s going to be a great experience.”
Ferry will gain more experience performing on the sport’s biggest stage after revealing how he coped with his first appearance at Wimbledon’s iconic arena.
“I was definitely nervous walking on Center Court for the first time and playing great players but it was healthy nerves,” he said.
“It meant I cared and I really wanted to do my best.
“So, playing in front of the Queen, playing in front of Kate (Middleton) and Roger (Federer) was all new to me, but it was good nerves.”
