Arsenal have signed Lioness Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich

Arsenal Women have signed England midfielder Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich.

The 27-year-old won eight trophies during a four-year spell in the Bundesliga after leaving Manchester City in 2022.

“It’s an incredible feeling and I’m very proud to be joining Arsenal,” he said.

“This is a huge club that is taking the women’s game to a new level and I want to be a part of it. I want to win trophies and grow as a player and this is the right place to do that with the support of an incredible fanbase.”

Stanway won the WSL title, three FA Cups and three League Cups with City before moving to Bavaria.

At international level, Stanway scored 33 goals in 93 appearances for England and played an integral role in the Lionesses’ historic Women’s European Championship wins in 2022 and 2025.

Arsenal coach Rene Slagers said: “Georgia is a brilliant midfielder and we are thrilled that she is an Arsenal player.

“He will add a new dimension to our midfield, bringing experience and our winning mentality. We are looking forward to working (with) a big campaign ahead of us in pre-season.”
