Arbitration opinion. Did Saud Abdel Hamid deserve to be sent off against Nice?

An arbitration expert has given his opinion on the sending off of Saudi footballer Saud Abdul Hamid during Lens’ 1-1 draw with Nice in the French league yesterday, Saturday.

Saudi Al-Riyadiya newspaper arbitration analyst Muhammad Kamal Risha said that the decision of the referee of the “Nice”-“Lens” match to send off Abdul Hamid was correct.

Risha defended the referee’s decision to show a red card to the “Lance” player in the 81st minute, justifying it by the fact that the interference did not allow the opponent a clear chance to score a goal.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw as Lens took the lead in the 60th minute through France’s Alain Saint-Maximin and Nice equalized in the 84th minute through Tunisian star Ali Al-Abdi, taking advantage of a numerical disadvantage following the dismissal of Saud Abdel Hamid, who has been brilliant in the French league this season.
