Apple has just released the public betas of iOS 27 and other major OS updates that are set to roll out publicly this fall. New this year is Siri AI, a powerful AI update to Siri. They they actually work – which is high praise! – though keeps things brief.
Other betas currently available include iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate. If you want to try out the upcoming Apple updates, be warned that you may encounter problems like unexpected or battery that drains faster than you are used to. Use your best judgment if you have to install the beta or wait to install the update until it’s released. But if you’re willing to roll the dice and sit on the sidelines, launching public betas gives you a glimpse into Apple’s future. (Although I recommend backing up your device before installing the beta, just in case you need to restore things.)
To join the iOS 27 public beta program, visit this page on Apple’s website and click the button to register. When you do this – and save your tool, you did, right? – open it Favorites app, then go to General > Software Update. At the top of your screen, you should see a section called “Beta Updates.” Click that, and select iOS 27 public beta.
For other Apple products, the beta installation process is often the same.
