Apple’s AirPods Max 2 are $150 off for the first time

Amazon it currently has a star model on sale at this price. In our review, we praised Apple’s latest earphones for their excellent sound quality, impressive noise cancellation, and high-quality build quality. The upgraded amplifier gives extra oomph to the same drivers that are in the original AirPods Max with USB-C, and the new chip supports things like up-to-date translation and conversation recognition.

Unfortunately, these updates missed the chance to fix some of the older version’s major flaws. For example, they don’t have a power button, so you have to use the carrier to sleep, and they lose their functionality when connected to anything other than an iOS device. The price is usually pretty standard, but this discount brings them in line with our favorite noise-canceling headset, the Sony WH-1000XM6 (read our reviews).
