Android Show 2026: all the news and announcements

Google I/O is just over a week away, and that means it’s time for another Android Show event to reveal all that Google has in store for the Android ecosystem.

The Android Show: I/O Edition is set to launch YouTube and Android website at 10AM PT / 1PM ET on Tuesday, May 12th.

Adoption last year’s Android Showwe expect this event to be short, about half an hour or less, and include some of the main features of Android 17 along with the release window. The Android Show will likely showcase some of Gemini’s latest updates, especially everything baked into Android, and may also include Android XR and Google’s Aluminum OS. rumored PC version of Android.
