Donis is starting to form the squad for the game against Senegal
Saudi Arabia’s national team received an important boost at an ideal time, days before their final friendly test scheduled for dawn next Wednesday in preparation for the 2026 World Cup against Senegal.
The Greens’ coaching staff, led by Greece’s Georgios Donis, is aiming to reach peak fitness ahead of the World Cup opener against Uruguay.
Saudi Arabia’s national team camp saw the return of defender Hassan Timbukti to group training after recovering from a recent back muscle injury, giving Donis an important extra option in the back line ahead of the crucial clashes ahead, reports Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.

Timbukti’s return coincided with the squad’s preparation for a friendly against Senegal, the last and strongest test before the start of the World Cup, as Dennis began to outline the starting line-up and settle on the tactical approach he will rely on during the tournament.
The national team’s players trained at the Austin club’s training center as the group that started in the recent friendly against Puerto Rico underwent rehabilitation exercises in the gym and on the field, while the rest of the players underwent technical training that included warm-ups and passing drills before moving on to tactics.
