An explosion has detonated a train in Balochistan in Pakistan, killing at least 24 | Articles of Controversy


At least 24 people were killed when a bomb hit a military train in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, an official said.

Army soldiers were among those killed in the provincial capital, Quetta, on Sunday in the attack, which injured more than 50 people.

The official said the train was passing the Chaman Pattak sign in Quetta “when a bomb-laden vehicle hit one of the containers causing a huge explosion”.

The force of the explosion caused the train’s two carriages to overturn and catch fire, and thick black smoke billowed into the sky.

The attack took place in an area usually occupied by security forces, severely damaging several nearby buildings and smashing more than a dozen vehicles parked on the side of the road.

The Balochistan Liberation Army a separatist group he said that he was the one who caused the attack.
