Amuta: The opportunity to coach Al-Ahli doesn’t come every year… and this is my message to the media and fans.

A Moroccan man talks pressure…and reveals what awaits him at the Red Castle

Moroccan Hussein Amouta, the new technical director of Al-Ahly Club, began his journey through the Red Fort with clear messages, during which he revealed the reasons that motivated him to accept the mission. He also spoke about his philosophy on dealing with the media, stressing that real success is achieved inside the green box and not in front of the cameras, while stressing his awareness of the amount of responsibility and pressures of managing one of the biggest clubs on the African continent.

Al-Ahly announced the appointment of Hussain Amouta as the technical director of the first team football, replacing Danish Jes Torop, who will lead the team in the new season, which sees strong competition in the Egyptian League and the Egyptian Cup in addition to the African Confederation Cup.

“I’m one of those coaches who doesn’t prefer to talk a lot or make frequent appearances in the media, so I hope there won’t be any pressure related to frequent appearances in the media.

“The new technical director of Al-Ahly club added. “I feel very happy to be the first Moroccan coach to take charge of this ancient club and I look forward to working with Wael Gomaa and all members of the technical staff to achieve the club’s goals and make the fans happy by winning championships.”

The Moroccan coach revealed the main reason that motivated him to accept Al-Ahly’s training, saying: “The main motivation for me is that every year I don’t get the opportunity to coach a club as big as Al Ahly, so I didn’t hesitate to accept this challenge and I hope to lead the team to the championship and make the fans happy.”

“I used to follow Al Ahli, but watching from the outside is very different from working at the club. When you’re away from the team, you watch it to enjoy it, but when you become a coach, you have to interact with the players every day to get to know their personalities and capabilities, so you can build a team that can compete.”

“We need to capitalize on the great public support for Al Ahli. I have faced the team twice and I know well the impact they have at Al-Ahly.
