AMD and Anthropic reach $5 billion for AI infrastructure

AMD says it will invest $5 billion in Anthropic, helping to expand the company’s AI computing capabilities, according to announcement on Wednesday. As part of the new agreement, Anthropic will ship up to 2 gigawatts of AMD’s Instinct MI450 AI GPUs using the chipmaker’s new Helios rack-scale system, according to reports.
