Algeria defeated the Netherlands in Rotterdam and presented an ultimatum to Argentina.

Anis Haj Musa’s goal…

Algeria gave their World Cup rivals an early warning after defeating Holland with a decisive goal on home soil in a last-ditch effort to reveal the character of the Greens ahead of the World Cup.

At the De Koop Stadium, the Desert Warriors waited until the 86th minute to level the friendly when Anis Haj Moussa curled a perfect shot to the Dutch goalkeeper’s right to give Algeria a valuable morale-boosting victory days before the World Cup kicks off.

The win comes at an ideal time as the 2026 edition, hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, kicks off on June 11 and will feature 48 teams for the first time.

Algeria begins its global adventure against Argentina on June 17 in Kansas City, before facing Jordan on the 23rd of the same month in Santa Clara, concluding the group stage with Austria on the 28th again in Kansas City.
