Alexia Putelas has left Barça in pursuit of the London City Lions.

The London City Lions are attempting to pull off the biggest transfer in WSL history as they pursue the two-time Ballon d’Or winner.

It is unclear whether other clubs are in talks, but London City have been linked with a move for Putelas for some time and are favorites to land her.

They are willing to pull out all the stops to raise their status, including offering her a salary that reflects her status as one of the greatest players of all time.

They started talks with a number of players in January, hoping to boost the squad at the end of the season and have braced themselves for a big summer.

London City have ambitions to break into the WSL’s top three and qualify for the Champions League in the not-too-distant future, and signing the likes of Putelas is a huge step towards that.

Putelas, who lifted the Champions League title with Barcelona on Saturday, will miss the billionaire owner of the blockbuster franchise, Michel Kang.

Kang owns Lyon, who beat Barcelona in Saturday’s final, and she knows full well what qualities Putelas possesses and the heights he can help London City reach.

This year’s WSL newcomers are not your average club – an independent outfit, backed by Kang’s seemingly unlimited funds and the desire to grow a women’s soccer team from scratch. This makes them an interesting project.

With the Spanish coach Eder Meister Best friend Jana Fernandez He thrived there and Barcelona team-mate Mapi Lyon is expected to join London City.

However, a move from her boyhood club, now a fourth European champion, to a mid-table WSL side this season would be a downfall.

With many of the world’s best players looking to England as a strong league, the WSL has seen rapid growth and expansion.

Putelas is a player every club around the world would love to have, so if the London City Lions can pull it off, it would be a fantastic achievement for the WSL club.
