Oman coach Tariq Al-Saqti believes they have been drawn into one of the toughest groups in the 2027 Asian Cup finals, noting that the presence of hosts Saudi Arabia alongside Kuwait and Palestine makes the group purely Arab and heightens the competition between all sides.
“We have to prepare in a positive way and we won’t underestimate any opponent and we won’t give any team more than they deserve. We need to give ourselves the balance we need and go far in this tournament.”

The Moroccan coach emphasized that all three matches are difficult and there is no easy match, adding: “We have to be strong, play balanced and respect the opponent.”
Al-Saqtiwi emphasized that his contract with the Oman Football Association aims to develop Omani football in many areas, pointing to the development of a medium- and long-term action plan, describing the Asian Cup finals as “a milestone in a clear strategic plan, the most prominent features of which are the development of the entire system.”
Al-Saqtiwi concluded his remarks by saying that he has enough time to prepare the team for the Gulf Cup and West Asia before playing in the Asian Cup final, hoping that this period will be fulfilled and that the team will live up to the expectations and achieve the aspirations of the Omani fans.
