Getafe midfielder Luis Milla is on the brink of a move to La Liga after Al-Nasr entered the final stages of negotiations with Getafe amid strong indications from the Spaniard that the deal will be completed within days.
Spanish newspaper AS has revealed that talks between the two clubs have made significant progress this week and that Getafe president Angel Torres has informed the player’s representatives of his intention to block the deal, preferring to facilitate his move to Saudi Arabia if a final financial deal is reached.
Al-Nasr’s move came at an ideal time for Getafe. Although Milla’s contract runs until 2027, the Madrid club are aware that selling him this summer is their last chance to make a significant financial return before the player enters a free negotiation period in just one year.

Milan, who has established himself as one of La Liga’s most consistent players in recent seasons, was the subject of interest from several European clubs last winter, but the clearest and most serious offer came from Riyadh this summer.
The deal comes as part of Al-Nasri’s strategy to reshuffle the midfield ahead of the new season, given the management’s desire to provide a player with European characteristics that combines tactical discipline and the ability to build play to support the competition for league titles and the AFC Champions League elite.
