The Saudi Arabian national team has started preparing for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup, to play the first match in America, Canada and Mexico against the national team of Uruguay.
The Saudi Arabian national team will meet its Uruguayan counterpart in the first round of Group H of the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals next Tuesday at the Hard Rock Stadium in the American city of Miami.
The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat revealed the plan prepared by the Saudi Arabian national team to prepare for the match, starting on Saturday from the city of Austin, the current residence, to the city of Miami, where the match will be hosted.
Upon arrival, the Saudi Arabian national team delegation will stay at the same hotel where Al Hilal stayed for their match against Real Madrid in the first group stage of the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States of America last summer.
Al-Akhdar will train before the match against Uruguay at the Performance Stadium, which is the stadium of the American club “Inter Miami”, where Argentine legend Lionel Messi plays.
After the match, the Saudi Arabian team will return to its permanent residence in the American city of Austin to prepare for the match against Spain in the second round of the group stage on June 21.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Arabian national team is in the eighth group of the final round of the 2026 World Cup, alongside Spain, Uruguay and Cape Verde.
