“Al Ain” crowned the UAE League champion with five points

“Al Ain” won the UAE League title for the 15th time in its history, after defeating the hosts Sharjah (5-0) in the 24th round of the competition.

Al Ain won the league title With two rounds to go, as they are 6 points clear of chasing Shabab Al-Ahli.

The head-to-head, which is used to decide the UAE league if the two teams are tied on points at the end of the competition, favors Al Ain, who beat Shabab Al Ahli in the first leg (1-0) and the second leg (3-2).

After five wins, Al Ain have lifted their lead at the top of the table with 62 points, leaving Sharjah 25 points clear in tenth place.

The five goals were scored by Abdullah Traore in the 10th minute, Majid Hasan with an own goal error (15), Erik Jørgens (51), Sofia Rahimi (54) and Rami Rabia (63).
