A generation that hasn’t seen gold is leading Arsenal to reclaim the Premier League throne
The long wait is over for fans Arsenal:For his side to lift the Premier League trophy again thanks to the gift Bournemouth gave the Gunners on Tuesday night.
“Bournemouth” drew with their guests, “Manchester City” (1-1), thus confirming that “Arsenal” was officially declared champions for the first time in 22 years, especially after the historic season (2003-2004), during which the “gunners” managed to win the title without losing a single match under the leadership of coach Arsene.
None of Arsenal’s fans could have imagined that after that exceptional season, the team would not find a way back to their title. All those long yearswhich began with the team leaving their historic Highbury Stadium and moving to the Emirates Stadium in 2006.
During those years, Arsenal suffered defeats to the point of being out of the Champions League qualification positions before he took over. Mikel Arteta The team’s technical mission began in 2019 and it began to form a special combination between youth and experienced players, which eventually led to finally winning the missing title.
Notably, many of the players on Arsenal’s roster this season did not witness the team’s recent Premier League title triumph, and some of them were even born after 2004.
Looking at players born since Arsenal’s last crown in 2004, there is a third goalkeeper, Tommy Setford, who was born on March 13, 2006, and in defense, Christian Mosquera, who was born on June 27, 2004, just days after the Gunners won the title.
There is also Meles Luis Skelly, who was born on September 26, 2006, and in attack is youngster Max Doman, who was introduced this season by Ateta, who was born on December 31, 2009.
There are players who were born before Arsenal won the golden title in 2004, but they were born in the new millennium and so they did not consciously watch the team win the league title.
These players include defender William Saliba (March 24, 2001), winger Piero Hincapie (January 9, 2002), Jurin Temper (June 17, 2001) and Ricardo Calafiore (May 19, 2002).
The offensive line includes star players Bukayo Saka (September 5, 2001), Gabriel Martinelli (June 18, 2001) and Noni Madueke (March 10, 2002).
After Arsenal made history and regained the Premier League title, in a few days it will be the date to complete another historic loop, which is the Champions League, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain in the final of a competition that has never won the title in its history.
