The “Leader” ended a difficult season in which he was crowned only with the King’s Cup
“Al Hilal” club lost a new soldier after the end of the current season of the Roshan League of Saudi Arabia, after losing the first to the national team of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the appointment of Fahd Al-Mufarej as the executive director of the Saudi Arabian senior and under-23 national teams early Saturday morning.
Al-Mufarraj left Al-Hilal after a 14-year managerial stint.During that time, he worked as a football team manager, general controller and executive director of the team.
Less than 24 hours after Al-Mufarraj’s departure, Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya confirmed the departure of another Al-Hilal administrator, Saud Kariri, who was the club’s director of football.
The newspaper explained that Kariri has received interest from many clubs in the Saudi Roshan League in order to use his extensive experience with Al Hilal in the new season.
Kariri has 7 years of long-standing experience as he joined the administrative staff of Al Hilal in 2019, a year after his permanent retirement from football.
During that period, Al-Zaim achieved many successes at local and continental levels, most notably winning the Saudi League title 4 times, the AFC Champions League twice, the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup 4 times and the Super Cup 3 times.
Notably, Kariri was a player at Al Hilal between 2013 and 2016, but his longest spell at the stadiums was at Al Ittihad, where he played for 10 years between 2003 and 2013, before leaving Al Shabab in 2018.
