He spoke about the possibility of winning the title against Real Madrid
“Barcelona” star Brazilian Rafinha revealed the truth about the latest rumors that he was close to leaving “Barcelona” next summer.
Talk of the Brazilian star’s future has returned to the forefront of football in Spain despite recently extending his contract with Barcelona until 2028.
According to Sky Sports journalist Sasha Tavolieri. The Catalan club is preparing to receive an official offer of approximately 90 million euros from Saudi Arabia After the World Cup this summer, in a deal that could be handled directly through well-known business agent Pini Zahavi, who is close to club president Joan Laporta and represents both Hansi Flick and Robert Lewandowski.
Rafinha gave an interview to ESPN to talk about his future in front of Barcelona fans and share his own excitement about the possibility of winning the Spanish league title.
Rafinha has slammed recent speculation linking him with a possible exit at the end of the season, saying: “Since my arrival in Barcelona and since the first day, there have been speculations about my departure from the club. I think people don’t like to see me here. “Especially the press… there are people who just lie.”
The Brazilian player revealed in an angry tone. “The journalist who wrote that article (about my possible departure) also wrote other false things about me, claiming that I had met with the club’s management and that I had spoken internally about my hesitation and that I didn’t know if I would continue or not (at Barcelona). it’s not relevant to the topic.”
Barcelona are willing to sell some of their star players this summer to raise €100 million, ESPN reported, although Rafinha is not on the hypothetical transfer list.
Last season Rafinha scored 34 goals and 22 assists in 57 games, while this season he scored 19 goals and 7 assists in 31 games.
Rafinha also spoke about the possibility of winning the Spanish league title with Barcelona next Sunday against Real Madrid.
“Honestly, the special thing for me is winning the Spanish league title, regardless of the opponent. As far as the fans are concerned, and for those who have spent more time at the club, it’s very special that we were able to beat our biggest rivals.”
“But the most important thing for me is to win the league. And if it’s against them (Real Madrid), that’s even better.
