After Al-Khelaifi’s skepticism, there was a swift move from Paris to secure Enrique

Paris Saint-Germain have moved quickly to sign Spanish coach Luis Enrique to a new contract.

Enrique’s contract at the Park of Princes expires in the summer of 2027, so the Spanish coach will begin his final year this summer.

Paris president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was asked if Enrique was still in charge of the coaching staff after winning the Champions League last Saturday, and he replied:

Mercato expert Fabrizio Romano wrote in his microblog of the “X” network: “Paris Saint-Germain and Luis Enrique plan to continue together and resolve negotiations on a new contract soon.”

“Luis Enrique is confident that he will continue to move forward with this project and try to win another Champions League title.”

Romano concluded. “Paris Saint-Germain have also opened internal talks with Luis Enrique over Paris’ targets in the summer Mercato.”
