After Al-Ahli’s complaint… Discipline decides its position on punishing Al-Nasr official.

Today, the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee made a new decision regarding Al-Ahly Club’s complaint against Al-Nasr Club official Faisal Al-Saliham, amid the confrontation between the two teams in the Saudi Roshan League last season.

The incident comes back to Al Ahly and Al Nasr in the last round of the Roshan League, which ended in a two-goal victory for Al-Alam, and a charged atmosphere on the pitch, after an altercation broke out between a number of players from both teams after the final whistle, requiring the intervention of technical and administrative authorities.

Following these events, Al-Ahli club filed a formal complaint against Faisal Al-Saliham, claiming that he assaulted one of the team’s players during the post-match clashes, so the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee began to investigate the case.

After examining all the documents and defenses submitted, the commission decided to accept the complaint from a formal point of view before rejecting it on its merits, stressing that the decision is subject to appeal under Article (144) of the Discipline and Ethics Regulation.

“Al-Ahly” club has the right to appeal the decision within the period defined by the regulations if it wishes to continue the legal procedures related to the case.

Notably, Al-Nasr eventually clinched the Roshan League title after a fierce battle with Al-Hilal that went down to the last few metres.
