Acer is introducing a Linux handheld to play your PC games

The Acer Nitro Blaze Link it can run on Linux, but not Steam Deck. Acer says it’s a “handy start-up and support tool,” like PlayStation Portal for your PC. Announced at Computex on Friday, it will launch in Q4 2026 with a 7-inch display (1920 x 1200), Wi-Fi 6, only 1GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 8GB of eMMC storage. Technically, there is no more RAM to run Stardew Valleybut Blaze Link is not meant to play games locally.

Logitech launched a similar controller a few years ago, Logitech G Cloudwhich costs $ 350, including 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and was used for Android. It was hard to sell at that price considering its performance depends on a good internet connection.

Acer has not yet announced the price of the Nitro Blaze Link. But its claims suggest that it could be much cheaper than mobile gaming PCs – which has increased in cost – the ability to provide a cost-effective and search-first approach.
