European race for Arsenal star… and Bayern reveal new plan
German and British media reports have revealed that Bayern Munich have placed Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal’s England star, on their radar after the London club showed an unexpected flexibility to let go of their player.
Transfer pundit Graeme Bailey sprung a surprise earlier this June when he confirmed that Bayern Munich had already started an interest in the 24-year-old Brazilian star, who recently won the Premier League title with the Gunners.
“TEAMtalk” website noted that the Bavarian club is not alone in the race. France’s Paris Saint-Germain and Spain’s Atletico Madrid have shown strong interest in signing the player, while Arsenal look set to sell him this summer to secure financial liquidity despite their assessment of his talent.
For his part, Christian Falk, a reliable journalist of the German “Bild” network, confirmed the authenticity of this news on his website, explaining the historical background of Bayern’s interest in the player, but shocked the fans with the possibility of completing the deal, as he wrote: “This is true. understands that bringing the Brazilian to Bayern will not be an easy task.”
Falk added: “Martinelli is not getting the game minutes he would like in London, but he will face the same problem in Munich. he will not be guaranteed an immediate starting spot. It is understood that Bayern are currently looking for a replacement player“So this move would not be ideal for a left winger.”
And Falk exploded A surprise on current Bavarian politics “The management of Bayern made a clear decision after the failure of the Anthony Gordon deal. The club is now moving towards signing players with less glamorous names to develop them in this position and I am not sure if Martinelli will be happy with this prospect as a replacement player.”
