A sarcastic feast… Al-Ahli eats the bones of victory after Asia’s Nakba

Over the past few hours, we have witnessed Al-Nasr Club being subjected to continued ridicule by fellow club Al-Ahli with an unanswered goal after their shock loss to Japan’s Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League 2nd Final.

Al-Nasr’s relegation came as Al-Ahly cruised to a 3-0 win over Al-Khulood in the Roshen League, before celebrating a second straight AFC Champions League title for the elite among their fans.

Al-Ahly then posted a series of sarcastic tweets that included sending indirect messages after the shock victory, where he posted several pictures and commented: “Every Saturday is a royal birthday that only Al-Ahli loves,” which coincided with Al-Alam’s loss on the same day.

He also posted two pictures of Turkish defender Merih Demiral alongside the AFC Champions League Elite and local Super League championships and commented saying:

Fans shared the tweets widely on social media platforms, with opinions divided between those who saw them as ironic and veiled messages following Al-Nasr’s continental title loss, and those who saw them as natural celebrations of Al-Ahly’s achievements.
