‘A new form of self-expression’: Harlem youth share their lives through photography – in pictures | Drawing


For the past 25 years, the Expanding the Walls program has allowed young people to express their experiences through photography. In Extending the Walls: Creating Relationships Between Art, History, and Community on view until June 8 at the Studio Museum in Harlem, the study contrasts the past and the present with images selected to identify the world and the minds of young people in New York City.
